Fnatic is looking into a sale that could value the esports organization at around $100 million, according to a Sky News report by Mark Kleinman.
The London-based company is said to be weighing either a minority investment or an outright takeover after receiving inquiries from potential buyers.

Oakwell Advisory will reportedly oversee talks with interested parties, with interest coming from both sport-oriented companies and media groups.
The report also clearly states that this exploration into a sale is aimed at opening up new opportunities, rather than any financial instability. In fact, Fnatic as an organization is run well, with all the big partnerships and sponsorship allowing it to almost break even when lots of other orgs are losing money.
Fnatic’s founder Sam Mathews gave Sky News his comment:
As a global leader in competitive gaming, we are constantly evaluating strategic opportunities to scale our international footprint and enhance our performance capabilities. We remain open to exploring various financing options that align with our long-term vision for the continuous growth of esports and gaming.
Fnatic was founded by Sam and Anne Mathews in 2004, and nowadays, it’s one of the longest-running organizations in modern esports. One of the biggest achievements of the org is winning the first League of Legends World Championship. Fnatic’s League team has had some impressive achievements: from the 18-0 split to making another Worlds finals, as well as winning seven LCS titles.

Fnatic is also a legacy Counter-Strike org: they won DreamHack Winter 2013, then triumphed at ESL One: Katowice 2015, and capped it off with the ESL One: Cologne 2015 trophy. Three majors are nothing to scoff at.
The org achieved success even in the newer esports titles. After entering the VALORANT scene by acquiring the entire SUMN FC team, it proceeded to triumph at VCT LOCK//IN São Paulo 2023 and Masters Tokyo 2023.
And beyond results, Fnatic has always been one of the rare esports brands that consistently tried to monetize outside prize money and sponsorships: its hardware and peripherals push with Fnatic Gear, as well as high-profile lifestyle collabs, are part of why it’s so highly regarded.
