Two-time The International (TI) champion Ceb has surprised the Dota 2 community with the launch of a bold new project. Since he’s not stepping into any role at the upcoming TI14, the OG icon is dedicating time to his old passion in an aim to help build hype for the biggest event of the year.
With The International 2025 just around the corner, Ceb is using his experience to provide in-depth analysis of every single team competing at Dota 2‘s world championship tournament. His detailed breakdowns aim to give the community a deeper understanding of strategies, strengths, and potential weaknesses, making his content a must-follow for anyone looking to get ahead of the TI14 meta.
In a Reddit post that quickly spread through the Dota 2 community, Ceb revealed his plan to deliver the same high-level analysis he once reserved for his professional teams. “TI’s coming up, the hype is slowly building up, for most of us it isn’t enough, but wcyd. So I figured, instead of being negative about it, why not do my part. Why not do what I’ve been doing every year as a coach/player for my teams, but this time for the community instead?” he wrote. He proceeded to outline his goal of breaking down drafting strategies, playstyles, player roles, statistics, and replays for the top contenders at The International 2025.

The initiative is no small task. Ceb admitted that producing such comprehensive analyses of every team is extremely time-consuming, making it uncertain how many squads he can realistically cover before the tournament begins. Still, he promised to tackle as much as possible, giving fans unprecedented access to a champion’s perspective on one of the biggest events in esports.
Ceb’s TI14 analysis project is more than just tournament coverage; it’s part of his larger return to educational content, a path that defined his early days in the Dota scene. Long before becoming a two-time TI winner, he built a reputation for writing detailed blog posts that broke down the game in ways players could immediately apply to their own matches.

“Lately I’ve been focusing a lot on educational Dota content, basically what I used to do before I was ‘Ceb,’ back when I wrote blogs some of you old-timers might remember,” he explained. His recent work includes extensive guides on laning phases as well as a series he calls “Ceb Dissects,” where he analyzes professional players mastering specific heroes.
With The International 2025 on the horizon, Ceb’s new project makes him more than just a retired champion giving commentary. He’s stepping into the role of an educator, aiming to raise the community’s collective understanding of competitive Dota 2. Even if he doesn’t manage to break down all 16 qualified teams before the tournament kicks off, his work is already making a valuable impact on the scene.
