The global surge in esports betting is continuing at pace, and B2B sportsbook provider BETBY is among the companies reaping the rewards.

In its H1 2025 report, the Malta-based betting firm revealed significant gains in both its traditional sportsbook and esports verticals, reflecting a broader boom in esports betting worldwide.

According to data from Statista, the esports betting market hit $2.5 billion in 2024, with more than 74 million users engaging in online esports wagers. That figure is forecast to rise to $2.8 billion in 2025, growth that is especially pronounced in markets across Eastern Europe, South America, and Asia.

BETBY’s own esports division, BETBY.Games, has emerged as one of the firm’s most important revenue drivers. During the first half of 2025, the feed generated a 153% year-over-year increase in gross gaming revenue (GGR), while bets placed rose by 57%. Esports betting now accounts for 14% of the company’s total GGR, underscoring the rising importance of this vertical.

“H1 has been another important step forward for BETBY, with meaningful growth in both our sportsbook and esports verticals,” BETBY CEO Leonid Pertsovskiy said. “We continue to innovate, scale, and support our partners’ ambitions by delivering products that perform, with Betby.Games’ performance demonstrating the underlying strength and potential of the vertical. As we look ahead, we remain focused on accelerating growth across all areas.”

The BETBY.Games feed features a variety of fast, live-betting esports content, particularly in sports-adjacent titles such as eSoccer, eBasketball, and eTennis, as well as more traditional esports like CS2 and Rocket League. This hybrid approach appeals to bettors across the spectrum, from sports fans to hardcore esports enthusiasts.

BETBY’s approach to uniting esports and traditional sports was recently exemplified by its initiative to feature chess in the ongoing Esports World Cup. Held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia until August 1, the event showcases BETBY’s innovative betting offerings, allowing users to place wagers on a range of event-specific outcomes, from the first move made and first piece captured to the number of checks, castlings, and pawn promotions throughout each match.

Founded in 2018, BETBY has steadily grown its reputation as a forward-thinking B2B provider. With its latest H1 results, the company has not only demonstrated solid growth in key areas but also underscores its pivotal role in shaping the future of esports betting.
